Q: How do I buy from Hollow Sun?
A: Our web store is provided by FastSpring. It's very simple - select the product you want to buy and click on ADD TO CART. If you want to add more products to your cart, click on CONTINUE SHOPPING, after you added your first product to the cart. At any time, you can click on VIEW CART to check out and complete your purchase. From there on, FastSpring's system takes over, where you will be asked to enter your personal information, so the transaction can be carried out. We support payment via credit cards or PayPal. After all the necessary information has been entered, the order can be finished. You will receive an e-mail with order confirmation, and one or more e-mails with product download links.
Q:. What if I don't have a PayPal account?
A: Not a problem - you can use your credit card if you prefer.
Q: I get so much spam, how can I tell the e-mails I received are genuine?
A: E-mails will be coming from mailer (at) fastspring (dot) com. You will get one e-mail that has the subject line formatted like this: "Your Order: <product name> [order ID]". You will also be able to download the product right away on the order confirmation page in your web browser.
Q: I placed an order but didn't receive an e-mail?
A: Check your Spam/Deleted Items folder in your e-mail client - it could have been innocently zapped by anti-virus and spam protection software.
Q: I have Kontakt Player but it goes into a time-limited demo mode when I use your library. How come?
A: This is normal. Kontakt Player only fully supports libraries that have been authorised by Native Instruments. Ordinary third-party libraries such as mine can be used but will cause the Player to kick into demo mode.
Q: I write music for jingles and TV - can I use your free downloads for this?
A: Yes - by all means. The Freepacks can be used freely and without restriction in commercial or non-commercial recordings. All we ask is that you don't distribute or attempt to sell the freebies (yes - some people do that!!) and a credit and a link to the website where appropriate would be welcome.
Q: What license do I get with Hollow Sun products?
A: Once you have bought and downloaded HS products, they are yours to use as you wish and you have an unlimited license to use the sounds within any production you are involved in. If you have several computers, you are free to copy your purchase FOR YOUR OWN USE on those (for example, if you have a main desktop computer and a laptop). However...

IF YOU ARE COLLABORATING WITH OTHERS (BAND MEMBERS, CO-WRITERS, ETC.), THEY MUST BUY THEIR OWN COPY. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM A COPY.
YOU CANNOT USE HOLLOW SUN'S SAMPLES IN THE CREATION OF YOUR OWN SAMPLE LIBRARY WITHOUT EXPRESS PERMISSION FROM HOLLOW SUN. LICENSING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE IF YOU WISH TO DO SO.
YOU CANNOT RE-DISTRIBUTE OR SELL HOLLOW SUN PRODUCTS, NEITHER CAN YOU CONVERT THEM TO SOME OTHER FORMAT TO RE-DISTRIBUTE/SELL THEM. SORRY, BUT DOING THE WORK TO CONVERT THEM TO, SAY, SOUNDFONT FORMAT, DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO RE-DISTRIBUTE/SELL THEM IN THAT FORMAT!!
THIS INCLUDES ANY FREEBIES ON THE SITE - JUST BECAUSE WE MAKE THEM AVAILABLE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU CAN. NEITHER CAN YOU CONVERT THEM TO SOME OTHER FORMAT FOR FREE OR COMMERCIAL RE-DISTRIBUTION WITHOUT EXPRESS PERMISSION FROM HOLLOW SUN.

Q: I am using Internet Explorer 8 as my browser and can't play the audio demos on your pages. Why is this?
A: There is a known issue with IE8 and Flash (which is required for the player). You can adjust IE8's settings to effectively 'downgrade' it to IE7 which will work. Alternatively, use a better, more compliant browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

It is assumed that when you place an order, you have read the product description thoroughly and have confirmed that it is suitable for and meets your needs and requirements and fulfills the purpose for which you are are purchasing it. Because of the digital nature of the products, refunds are not possible if you order in error!
PRIVACY AND SECURITY POLICY
- Hollow Sun does not store (or even have knowledge of) any credit card or other details involved in transactions. This is all handled securely via FastSpring.
- Hollow Sun will not exploit your e-mail address other than to notify you of new products, product updates, news, etc., by way of a newsletter (from which you can unsubscribe at any time).
- Hollow Sun will not sell or otherwise distribute your e-mail address or any other such details to third parties.
- Hollow Sun reserves the right to use customer commendations received via e-mail or other means on the website. In the event of this, full credit will be given with links to your activities where appropriate.
