Solid State Symphony
NEBULAE M01 FS1R CP70 NewTron PPG M1000

I am pleased to 'endorse' this excellent orchestral collection from fellow S5/6000 developer, Indiginus.

The unique twist in its tail, however, is that all the orchestral textures have been created using analogue synths thereby providing the lush sonic tapestries woven by the likes of Isao Tomita, Larry Fast, Patrick Gleeson and other early electronic music pioneers.

Contained in the SSS collection are strings, brass, woodwinds, orchestral percussion and tuned percussion plus some 'oriental' instruments. It also contains a variety of pads and tempo-synced LFO sweeps and atmospheric sounds that fill in 'the grey areas' of the traditional orchestra's otherwise rigid pallette.

All sounds are meticulously multi-sampled for maximum detail and many of the programs use velocity switching for maximum expression. Pre-assembled multis also ship with the collection allowing you to get started with the minimum of effort.

You can find out more about the Solid State Symphony collection at the Indiginus website

Please note that Hollow Sun is not selling or distributing this collection - simply endorsing it to bring it to a wider audience and the 'buy now' button below will take you to the Indiginus website where you may order directly from them and where they will receive the full price paid.

If you need an intriguing alternative to the many seemingly indentical orchestral libraries out there (or maybe something to augment one you already have), SSS has to be a sure-fire candidate and certainly comes highly recommended.

The Indiginus Solid State Symphony Collection is available for S5/6000 in a 'native' format CD that will just pop into your sampler's CD-ROM (or Mac/PC for use with ak.Sys) without any form of installation required. Also, of course, fully compatible with Z4/8 and/or MPC4000.

COMPATIBILITY

All these sounds are fully compatible with the Akai Z4, Z8 and MPC4000. These sounds are also known to load directly into Kontakt 2.2 and Mach 5. The actual samples themselves should also be able to be loaded into other samplers though you will have to do the keyboard mapping, etc..

Given the differences in feature sets and/or user-interface implementation between the different sampler formats, 100% compatibility cannot be absolutely guaranteed and some minimal 'tweaking' of some sounds may be required depending on the chosen destination format. Of course, you will probably want to tweak the sounds to your requirements anyway.
